Cute female terrier found!

Found Saturday November 21st in Colorado City, Texas. Small wire-haired (possible Cairin terrier), female dog. She appears young, not spayed but never had puppies. I feel she belongs to someone and am anxious to get her back home to her family. Please call (806) 773-6362

Railhead Trade Days in town....


It's a gorgeous weekend to do some Christmas shopping downtown! The Railhead Trade days saw alot of business this Saturday, and there was a even a new feature! Main Street Board member Robert Mace gave a guided downtown tour to some ladies to show off the historic buildings in the area!

Happy 90th birthday to Earline Sellier, fromer 3rd grade teacher in Colorado City! She was honored with a birthday party this weekend, that's Lind Baum on the left, Mrs. Sellier in the middle, along with Mrs. Sellier's niece, Betty Jane Hyson.

West Texas Art Guild holds a show at the Civic Center...

The West Texas Art Guild held an Art competition locally at the Civic Center this past Saturday...and the "Best of Show" was Vicki Diggs of Spur, with her painting of 3 mules grazing in a pasture.

The Pena Family come back to Colorado City!

Memories of growing up in the Sands, picking cotton and more were shared yesterday as we recieved a special visit from a special family. Luz Pena and his daughters were in town and wanted to come by to see the station where their brother worked as a DJ back in the 1960's. Thanks for the visit and sharing all those stories with us...we will be sharing them on Community Close-up soon!

A Vietnam Veteran sits down with Jim Baum.....

Wayne Parham, son of Gene and Belle Parham, came back to Colorado City recently and sat down to talk for the first time about his experiences in Vietnam. He had a near miss when a bullet hti his helmet...which he has donated to the Heart of West Texas Museum.

Wolves Wall of Fame.....

CHS graduate Han Ollison was also inducted into the Wall of Fame, he is currently at McMurry University.

Joe Biggers, Colorado City native, was one of 21 graduates of Colorado High to be inducted into the Wolves Wall of Fame at Friday night's football

It was time to cut the big red ribbon yesterday at the new headquarters for the Mitchell County EMS! The new facility is located at 16th and Chestnut.

Fuller Foods scares up some Halloween costumes....

And the winners are...left to right, Elidia Fuentes took fourth place as the Scarecrow, and made a easy $25.00. Next, Veronica Matos was a cavewoman and got $50.00 for third place. Second place went to John Ladd, the Meat Market man, dressed as a butcher and he won $75.00, and the big winner was Audy Martinez, as a deviled egg! She took home a crisp $100.00 bill for her originality!
